If true, it would undermine the belief that “the metal shoe is a necessary evil.”
The increased strain placed on the hoof in sports, such as eventing and endurance riding places an enormous demand on the hoof. The hoof structure has to cope with excessive wear and training that makes it difficult to keep the hoof function without any form of protection.
Protection that Works with the Hoof.
The Jogging Shoe is based on the principle of being a protection that works with the hoof when it needs protection and otherwise let the hoof work without protection, this encourage a strong hoof for enhanced performance.
The hoof is made up by an outer part, the hoof capsule and an inner, living part, containing soft tissues and bone. The whole hoof needs ability to flex in order to perform. The soft rubber shoe sole allows this flexibility and therefore promotes natural hoof function. In addition the soft rubber undersole add comfort,balance,stability, dampening and protects the hoof from wear. It also allow the the horse to feel the same balance and stability on all surfaces, also on rock or hard ground like asphalt.The wear of the rubber undersole is measured in maximum a few mm. which are very important to keep the perfect balance and stability for the horse.The upper part of the Jogging Shoe is safely locked to the hoove to protect even more. The flexible rubber undersole works perfect together with the flexble upper part to create the maximum hoove protection at maximum comfort.
